How to Download, Install, Configure and use HyperTerminal in Windows 10, 8 and 7

In the world of intercommunications between electronic and technological devices, we have a wide variety of methods to connect with other users, some more advanced and up-to-date, and others not so much but they can. establish the connection.

From several versions of Windows back, one of these methods was created for Microsoft devices: HyperTerminal, and it allowed the connection and even the tampering with a device from another. If you want to know more about this, and try this method, keep reading.

What is HyperTerminal and what is it for?

It is an old program that allowed the connection between 2 or more Windows devices to execute actions between them. This communication could occur through a serial port such as the COM port; and this connection is also established through a network created in the TCP / IP protocol.

HyperTerminal, was used since Windows XP came out through other software and commands that are deprecated, and there are alternatives for its function, alternatives that are more efficient and safer.

Now the devices intercommunicate with others through other methods, easy to manipulate and without complications when commanding, as is the case with Telnet, which is a way of using HyperTerminal.

This program is considered obsolete because there are already others that are more essential in the functioning of communication, but it is possible to use it today if you have the proper program and the necessary configurations.

Starting with Windows 7, this tool no longer part of the package Microsoft Windows, and getting it is more tedious in Windows 7, 8 and 10, than in previous versions.

How to download and install HyperTerminal on Windows 10, 8 and 7?

Due to its disuse, which is only for convenience and comfort, the HyperTerminal is no longer in the Microsoft Windows 7, 8 and 10, and therefore the option is to get it through an external source, already exported from a device that contains said program in its configuration, or through a download process.

A simple way to obtain this software is by extracting it from another device that has it in its internal configuration. An example of this is a laptop or computer that has the operating system Windows XP or, failing that, Windows Vista.

The process consists of extract the file and installer of a device with some of these two versions of Windows, through a medium that can store it, such as a pendrive, and insert it into the computer you want.

It is also valid if one of these versions is installed on this computer. And it is as if it were to install another offline program in Windows.

Through the other process, the download, it is possible to search the internet for the installer and when finding it from a safe source, download it and install it on the device as if it were installing Microsoft Office on Windows, for example.
