In addition, more than 30 million users make presentations daily with this program, as noted by the Microsoft company. Since through it you can create tutorials, photo albums, make questionnaires, concept maps among others.
On the other hand, this program has six preset effects so that its users can apply them in their editions. Among these we highlight the mirror tool.
How to apply a mirror effect to your images with PowerPoint?
The function of the mirror tool is to invert the selected image and reflect it like a mirror. With this technique you can capture the public’s attention to the image.
First you must open the PowerPoint program and click on “insert” and then in “picture”. It is recommended that the selected image contains a good definition and that the background is preferably white. Next, the background of the image must be eliminated with the option of “remove background”.
Then you must click on the tab of “Format” image tool, in turn, you must click on “Colour” to “define transparent color”. In addition, you have to left click on the blank area.
Likewise, you must select the image and left click on it and copy it into a new layer, for this you press the keys simultaneously “ctrl” and “C”. Then it is pasted, this step is done by pressing the keys “ctrl” and “V”.
After the image must be rotated vertically, it is achieved by clicking on “to turn” and then in “flip vertically”. Finally, the resources must be used to be able to place the flipped image just below the original image.
You must also create a “transparency effect” for the flipped object, so a rectangle needs to be inserted first. To do this, click on the left side of the middle area of the images.

Continuation of the application of the mirror effect
Then you have to right click on the rectangle to insert “shape format” this is how you select the “filling” and in turn “gradient fill” which must be of the linear type with an angle of 90 degrees.
Then you have to place the objects at the top in front of the rectangle with the gradient. Likewise, the shadow effect must be added to these objects that are in the upper part.
To achieve this, a “shape” oval and give the option of “filling” and select the “solid fill” black should be selected. In turn, it must be given a transparency of 6% on the delimiter.
Then you have to eliminate the contour line and smooth the ellipse, to achieve this you have to select “lit and soft edges” which has to be at a value of 50 points, then the function must be closed.
It is important to be able to reduce the size of the shadow, for this reason you must select the size handles and drag it in to reduce it. Then this shadow must be placed just behind the image and to achieve this step you have to click on the tab “Format” and then in the option of “send Backward”.
Finally, by applying all these steps you will have an image with an advanced mirror effect, including the shadow point at the junction of the original image with its copy, which is its reflection.
